The Process
A clear and thoughtful process allows every project to feel organized, intentional, and enjoyable from the very beginning.
Whether you’re booking a focused design service, starting with a Design Consultation, or beginning a larger transformation, each step is designed to bring clarity to your vision and ease to the experience.
If you already know which service is right for you, you can book it directly. If you’re unsure where to begin, a Design Consultation is the best place to start so we can talk through your goals and determine the right next step together.
For the fastest transformation, start with a Mini Room Refresh — a focused one-room interior design package created to help your space feel more cohesive, intentional, and beautifully finished.
Here’s what you can expect when working together.
Step 1: Inquiry or Booking
Every project begins with either an inquiry, direct service booking, or Design Consultation request through the website.
This gives me a chance to learn more about your space, goals, timeline, investment range, and overall scope of work. If you already know you want a specific service, such as a Mini Room Refresh, Layout Refresh, Design Sprint, Sourcing Package, Styling Session, or Full-Service Design support, you’re welcome to book that service directly.
Once your inquiry or booking request is received, I’ll review the details and follow up with next steps within one business day.
Step 2: Consultation or Project Review
Before the design work begins, we’ll take time to review your project together.
For some clients, this may be a standalone Design Consultation. For others, this may be a built-in project review or kickoff conversation connected to the service you booked.
During this step, we’ll discuss your vision, lifestyle, priorities, timeline, budget, existing pieces, and what is or isn’t working in your space. This helps ensure we are aligned before moving into the design process.
If you’re not sure which interior design service is the best fit, the Design Consultation will help us determine the right next step for your home.
Step 3: Design Direction
This is where the creative foundation begins.
During this phase, I develop the overall design direction for your space. Depending on the service, this may include layout considerations, visual flow, color palette, furnishings, finishes, materials, styling direction, and the overall feeling we want your home to have.
Every recommendation is made with intention and tailored to the way you live.
Step 4: Sourcing & Selections
Once the design direction is established, I begin curating the pieces, materials, and details that will bring the space together.
Depending on your service, this may include furniture, lighting, rugs, textiles, art, decor, finishes, fixtures, cabinetry details, tile, hardware, paint colors, or other project-specific selections.
Each item is chosen with scale, function, style, budget, and cohesion in mind.
All selections are presented for review and approval before anything moves forward.
Step 5: Ordering & Coordination
After selections are approved, the ordering and coordination phase begins.
Depending on the scope of your service, this may include placing orders, coordinating with vendors, tracking items, managing delivery details, communicating with trades, or keeping the project organized as pieces begin to arrive.
This step helps create a smoother transition from design concept to implementation.
Step 6: Installation or Implementation
This is when the design begins to come to life.
For furnishings and styling projects, furniture and larger pieces are placed, layouts come together, and the overall vision starts to take shape in your home.
For renovation-based projects, implementation may happen over a longer period of time and may involve coordination with contractors, cabinetry teams, vendors, installers, or trades. The timeline will depend on the size and complexity of the project.
Step 7: Final Styling
The final styling layer is what makes the space feel complete.
This is where art is placed, shelves are styled, textiles are layered, accessories are added, and the final details come together. These finishing touches bring warmth, personality, and intention into your home.
For some focused services, final styling may be provided as guidance, recommendations, or an optional add-on. For full-service projects, this phase may be completed in person as part of the final installation.
Step 8: Final Reveal
Once everything is installed, styled, or completed according to your service scope, we’ll review the finished space together.
This is the moment where the planning, selections, and details come together into a home that feels beautiful, functional, and personal to you.
Timeline Note:
Project timelines vary based on the service, scope, product availability, vendor timelines, renovation needs, ordering, delivery, and installation requirements.
We’ll review timing together before your project begins so you know what to expect.
